Software I use, gadgets I love, and other things I recommend.
Here's a list of the tools, software, and equipment I use daily to get my work done and stay productive. These are the things that have become essential to my workflow.
Workstation
MacBook Pro with M3 chip
Fast enough for all my development needs without overheating. The battery life is decent when I'm working away from my desk.
LG Ultra HD Monitor
Gives me enough screen space to have my code editor, terminal, and browser open side by side. The resolution is good for reading code without straining my eyes.
Apple Magic Mouse
Works well with my Mac and the gesture controls are handy for switching between apps. The battery lasts a surprisingly long time.
Apple Magic Keyboard
Simple, reliable, and the keys have a nice feel. The wireless connection is stable and I't have to deal with cables.
Ergologic Standing Desk
Being able to stand while coding helps with back pain after long sessions. The motor is quiet and the desk is sturdy enough for my setup.
Development Tools
Visual Studio Code
Does everything I need without being bloated. The extensions ecosystem is huge and I've found plugins for just about every language and framework I use.
iTerm2
Better than the default terminal with features like split panes and search. I use it for running servers, git commands, and other CLI tasks.
Cursor with Sonnet 3.7
My main code editor now - I use it for everything from React components to API endpoints. It is just so good.
Productivity & Others
Alfred
Quick access to apps and files without having to use the mouse. I've set up a few custom workflows for common tasks that save me time.
Obsidian
Keeps my notes organized and searchable. I use it for project documentation, learning notes, and keeping track of ideas.
Bitwarden
Stores all my passwords securely and syncs across devices. The browser extension makes logging into sites easy without compromising security.
